What we collect, how messages are protected, and your rights.

Who we are

æ Aeonian Engineering Limited ("we", "us", "Mujō") is Hong Kong and operates the Mujō messaging application. For users in the European Union and European Economic Area, our representative pursuant to GDPR Art. 27 is WIDE di D. Papa, Italy reachable at pdo@parta.app.

What data we collect

Very little, by design. Mujō does not require an account, a phone number, or an email address. We do not collect your name or any identifying information. The data we process is limited to:

What we do not collect

We do not collect, store, or process: message content (it is encrypted before it leaves your device and we hold no decryption key), contact lists, location data, device fingerprints, advertising identifiers, or behavioural analytics. No ads. Ever. We do not sell, rent, or share data with third parties for marketing purposes.

How messages are protected

Messages are encrypted end-to-end using AES-256-GCM with session keys derived via ECDH. The relay server receives and forwards an opaque ciphertext. It is architecturally incapable of reading message content. This is not a policy commitment it is a technical constraint. No key is held or escrowed by æ Aeonian Engineering Limited or any third party.

Data retention

Relay metadata is irreversibly deleted within 30 days. Encrypted packets are irreversibly deleted immediately after successful delivery or after 7 days if undelivered. Device tokens are deleted when you reset your identity in-app or uninstall Mujō. No backups of these records are retained beyond the stated periods.

Contact limits and subscription tiers

Mujō uses a contact-based tier model. Your tier determines how many contacts you can add to your personal network. We do not use account identifiers to enforce limits enforcement is based on your device token and its associated tier record. Changing or resetting your device identity resets your tier to Free unless a valid license key or store subscription is re-applied.

Payments and anonymity

When you subscribe via Google Play or Microsoft Store, the store processes your payment under its own privacy policy. We receive a non-identifiable transaction confirmation. We do not receive your name, payment card details, or email address from the store.

When you activate a license key purchased through an anonymous channel (including cryptocurrency), we record only a hash of the key and its validity period. We have no means of linking a license key to a natural person, and we do not attempt to do so.

Your rights

Under GDPR and HK PDPO you have the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you. Given the minimal data we collect, the most effective deletion mechanism is in-app: Settings → Reset Identity. This permanently and irreversibly deletes your device token and all associated relay data. For formal requests, contact support@parta.app

Data transfers

Our relay infrastructure is operated from Hong Kong . If you are located in the EU, your encrypted packets may transit through our servers in Hong Kong. Given that we cannot read the content, the risk to your privacy is minimal. Transfers are governed by standard contractual clauses where applicable.

Children

Prohibited content

Embora não possamos ler o conteúdo das mensagens, o uso de Mujō para transmitir material de abuso sexual infantil, conteúdo que facilite terrorism or violence, or content related to illegal weapons or controlled substance trafficking is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate termination of access and, where technically possible, reporting to competent authorities.

Transparency and audit

Enterprise customers may request an architectural review og Mujō's relay infrastructure under a mutual NDA. We do not provide access to relay logs or encrypted content under any circumstance, as the content is technically inaccessible to us. Law enforcement requests are handled pursuant to Hong Kong law and, where applicable, EU mutual legal assistance frameworks.

Changes to this policy

Podemos atualizar esta política. A data efetiva acima reflete a revisão mais recente. O uso continuado de Mujō after a change constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be communicated via in-app notice at least 14 days before taking effect.
